If safety is your number one priority when picking out a new car, then you definitely want to look at a Toyota.  Ten of Toyota’s 2012 models recently won the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick award.

IIHS is an independent, nonprofit organization that puts vehicles through rigorous testing to determine how safe the vehicles really are.  For the Top Safety Pick award, IIHS determines which cars provide the best protection in front, side, rollover, and rear crashes.

The 2012 model year winners from Toyota include the Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, Prius, Prius V, Sienna, Tundra Crew Cab, Venza, and Yaris.
