Smartphones seem to have become so common that it seems like almost everyone has one, even little kids! Phones and tech that only a few years ago would have cost hundreds of dollars are now offered on the cheap to entice customers into a contract at many providers. And with this surge of technology, car companies are figuring that integrating smartphones and apps into a car can make for a much more enjoyable experience.  Toyota’s take on in car infotainment is known as Toyota Entune. This infotainment system allows customers with a smartphone to access apps using the cars touchscreen interface.

When drivers with Entune equipped vehicles download the Toyota Entune app onto their smartphone, they can automatically access Bing, OpenTable, Movietickets.com, iHeartRadio, Pandora, and other apps right on the in-dash screen. It is expected that as the system grows and expands, Toyota will add more apps that will make driving even more fun for everyone in the car. Possibly the best thing about Entune is that drivers don’t have to worry about plugging in to wires or making sure that their phone is connected on Bluetooth. It is all done on the cloud automatically. And since the system is wirelessly upgradeable, the apps will never become obsolete as long as people continue to use and improve it!
