Your Regular Maintenance Schedule

Car maintenance: the thing that everyone dreads doing and puts it off until the last possible minute. We understand that regular maintenance can be a pain, but there are universal maintenance schedules that you can follow, making it easier to identify the services your car needs and when to have them done.

In addition to your car’s owners manual, consult this list for your regularly scheduled maintenance needs:

Every 3,000-7,000 Miles

  • Replace oil filter
  • Refill washer fluid
  • Get an oil change every 5,000 miles
  • Check transmission fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, wiper blades, tires, and lights

Every 15,000-30,000 Miles

  • Replace the air filter, fuel filter, and power steering fluid
  • Check the battery, coolant levels, radiator hoses, HVAC system, suspension, and brake pads

Every 35,000-50,000 Miles

  • Replace battery if needed
  • Replace spark plugs and spark plug wires
  • Check ignition system and suspension

Every 60,000 Miles

  • Replace radiator hoses, brake pads, brake fluid, coolant, and timing belt
  • Check HVAC system, tires, and suspension
